"Super short throw" shifter kit for OE replacement on 5 speed manual trans in:

  • 1996-2000 Ford Mustang GT
  • 1996-1999 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra
  • Early 2001 Ford Mustang GT & SVT Cobra - w/ trans code 6 only
    • Does NOT FIT later production - trans code K = TR3650

Only fits T45 5 speed manual trans specific to these V8 models

  • TR trans code on door tag begins w/ 6
  • Does NOT FIT any V6 or older V8 (= T5), newer V8 (= TR3650), or any other model; NOT for custom use - see swap bases

Kit includes a Hurst chrome stick (# 0015) & classic knob, Core Shifters base, mounting hardware, dust cover boot, and installation instructions; bulk parts; no retail pkg. Lower bushing cup not included (reuse existing or buy separately). Comparable to discontinued Hurst # 3915071 but specifically configured for T45 (no shim needed). Designed for use w/ stock console boot; remove grommet from leather boot to reveal stick. Overall height from base flange to top of knob is ~12.5". Throw is reduced by ~40%

  • SST = "super short throw" version w/ taller fulcrum for shorter throw
    • Reduced leverage = higher effort which is too aggressive for some!
    • If you are concerned about shift effort, see the regular kit (30% reduction)
