Short throw shifter kit for OE replacement on 4 or 5 speed manual trans in:

• 1987-1996 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) - 2.5L 4 cyl only

• 1986 Jeep Comanche (MJ) - all engines
• 1987-1992 Jeep Comanche (MJ) - 2.5L 4 cyl only

ONLY FITS AX4 & AX5 manual trans; stick is specific to XJ / MJ

• Does NOT FIT 1987+ 6 cyl models, other model years, Wrangler, or any other model

• 5 speed knob is default; if you have a 4 speed, specify w/ order
• 15" tall from base flange to top of knob; 39% throw reduction
• IF YOU HAVE a transfer case drop (crossmember spacers), or other modifications that affect shifter position - a different stick may be needed; email us
• Lower bushing cup not included; reuse existing or buy separately

Kit includes PLAIN chrome stick #4106, classic knob, base assembly, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. The base is built by Core Shifters using proven components inside a custom housing:

• High-strength billet steel gear selector stub
• Hardened steel cross-pin & stainless steel fulcrum pivot ring
• Self-centering cross-gate bias springs with heat treated spring seats
• Glass-reinforced polyamide fulcrum socket with steel wear clips
• Rubber oil control seal with steel retaining ring
• Extruded aluminum housing with Spirolox steel support ring
• Laser-cut steel lid & baseplate
