Short throw shifter kit for OE replacement on 5 speed manual trans in:

• 1997-1999 Jeep Wrangler TJ - 4.0L 6 cyl only

ONLY FITS AX15 manual trans; kit is specific to TJ

• Replaces Mopar OE #04882436 & 04864222
• Does NOT FIT 4 cyl, other model years, Cherokee, or any other model

Available in two knob heights:

• ~ stock (default)
• Stick #7436 on offset bracket, 18.5" from base flange to top of knob; 30% throw reduction
• 3" higher: + $20 - for body lift (frame spacers), transfer case drop, etc
• Stick #0085 on offset bracket, 22" from base flange to top of knob; 17% throw reduction

Kit includes chrome stick & classic knob (plain, no Hurst markings, NOT Hurst parts), base assembly, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. Compare to discontinued Hurst #3915040. Lower bushing cup not included; reuse existing or buy separately. The base is built by Core Shifters using proven components inside a custom housing:

• High-strength billet steel gear selector stub
• Hardened steel cross-pin & glass-reinforced polyamide fulcrum pivot ring
• Self-centering cross-gate bias springs with heat treated spring seats
• CNC-machined billet aluminum housing with steel wear clips
• Laser-cut steel lid & baseplate
• Rubber dust cover boot (low profile OE, NOT as pictured)
