Short throw shifter kit for OE replacement on 5 speed manual trans in:

• mid 1989-1999 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) - 4.0L 6 cyl only
• mid 1989-1992 Jeep Comanche (MJ) - 4.0L 6 cyl only
• Does NOT FIT 1989 models built before 3/1/1989 (BA10/5 trans)

ONLY FITS AX15 manual trans

• Does NOT FIT 4 cyl, early 1989 or other model years, Wrangler, or any other model

• 15" tall from base flange to top of knob; 39% throw reduction (stick #4106)
• IF YOU HAVE a transfer case drop (crossmember spacers), or other modifications that affect shifter position - a different stick or extension may be needed; email us
• Lower bushing cup NOT included; reuse existing or buy separately

Kit includes PLAIN chrome stick, classic knob, base assembly, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. Compare to discontinued Hurst #3915042. The base is built by Core Shifters using parts from Hurst suppliers inside a custom housing:

• High-strength billet steel gear selector stub
• Hardened steel cross-pin & glass-reinforced polyamide fulcrum pivot ring
• Self-centering cross-gate bias springs with heat treated spring seats
• CNC-machined billet aluminum housing with steel wear clips
• Laser-cut steel lid & baseplate
• Rubber dust cover boot (low profile OE, NOT as pictured)
