ONLY FITS Mazda M5OD-R1 manual trans produced BEFORE 1995 - trans code "M"
- Stock stub for this model has an overall length of 118mm w/ 70mm below gasket
- IF your transmission has been serviced or changed, it MAY REQUIRE A DIFFERENT BASE. If you install the wrong one it will not work properly and could cause damage. To confirm, remove shifter stub and measure overall length
- Does NOT FIT 2.9L V6, Bronco II, newer models, M5OD-R2, F-150, or any other model
- IF YOU HAVE A 2"+ BODY LIFT (frame spacers) - upgrade to stick #0090: +$10
Kit includes PLAIN chrome stick #4106, classic knob, base assembly, gasket, mounting hardware, dust cover boot, and installation instructions. Due to the tall factory console boot, a SuperBoot is suggested (optional upgrade, additional charge) - which can be fitted into the stock plastic trim plate. Throw is reduced by ~ 42%. The base is built by Core Shifters using proven components inside a custom housing:
- High-strength billet steel gear selector stub w/ induction hardened tip
- Hardened steel cross-pin & glass-reinforced polyamide fulcrum pivot ring
- Self-centering cross-gate bias springs with heat treated spring seats
- CNC-machined billet aluminum housing with steel wear clips
- Laser-cut steel lid
