2018+ Honda Goldwing TPMS reset / relearn / discover at home without tools or dealer

Yes, you can reset/pair new TPMS sensors to 2018+ Honda Goldwing WITHOUT fancy tools!

  1. Position bike so front wheel valve stem is toward front, easy to access
  2. Place bike on center stand and rotate rear wheel to get valve stem near bottom
  3. Remove left side cover – refer to owner’s manual battery section ~ pg 150
  4. Close both saddlebags and trunk, and raise side stand
  5. Remove air caps from both wheels and find a #2 Philips screwdriver that easily purges valve stem. Make sure tires are at normal pressure levels (36/42 psi)
  6. Find service connector just rearward of battery. Disconnect harness from cap and identify the light and dark green wires. Find a small paperclip that will plug in and short these together (or buy a service shorting cap w/ red wire). Do not short yet.
  7. Turn bike power on but do not start engine. Within 15 seconds, short green wires with paperclip. TPMS light should illuminate solid – no blink. If it was illuminated solid before you began and you see no change after shorting, that is OK, proceed to next step. If it blinks after shorting, you took too long, turn off and start over.
  8. Within 1 minute, use Philips screwdriver to purge air from FRONT tire until TPMS light blinks slowly
  9. Within 1 minute use Philips screwdriver to purge air from REAR tire until TPMS light blinks rapidly
  10. Remove shorting connector and turn bike power off
  11. Re-inflate tires to normal levels (36/42 psi)
  12. Turn bike power on to confirm TPMS light is no longer illuminated
