The ORIGINAL short throw shifter kit for:

  • 2009-2015 Cadillac CTS-V w/ TR6060 6 speed manual transmission
    • "V" models only (6.2L LSA V8) - no others! (different trans)
    • Does NOT FIT earlier "gen 1" models (2004-07)

STICK INFO:

Specialized stick for use with stock knob (Knob NOT included). Knob is lowered about 1.3" below OE height. CNC-machined from billet steel and zinc-plated for protection, this stick replicates the OE shifter notch for the internal knob clip, allowing use of the stock knob without modification (this type of knob should not be modified). Due to lack of threads, no other knob will fit on this stick except universal threadless setscrew clamped knobs (not recommended).


Other stick options (see my other listings for these kits, pricing varies):

  • Tapered stainless steel stick for a threaded knob (includes Hurst classic engraved knob). Custom engineered by Core shifters, CNC-machined from stainless steel rod. This stick has a brushed finish but you could polish it if desired. The leather boot attaches to a rubber grommet that sits a few inches below the knob where the stick taper ends, exposing a section of the stainless steel stick for a custom look. Knob height is 1.4" below OE height (depends on knob). Knob thread is 3/8"-16 (normal Hurst)
  • Hurst Pistol Grip on special straight stick. Effective grip center is 1.5" lower than OE. The Hurst pistol grip requires a special shorter stick to achieve the desired grip center location. (Threads are too low for a round knob). Threads are also larger (16mm) to handle the leverage added by the pistol grip. The leather boot can either attach to a rubber grommet positioned directly under the handle jam nut, or the boot can be pulled up over the jam nut itself. The stick itself is hidden by the leather boot as original. The pistol grip works very well in this car and this option is the most robust of them all. I only sell the pistol grip in silver, but it is available elsewhere in anodized black
  • Hurst HardDrive "modern" pistol grip handle (on a special adapter bracket), ~$70 more. Available with gloss black grip to match interior trim

Stick attaches just above base, below floor cover. And so, changing the stick requires almost as much effort as changing the shifter itself - everything above must be removed. Because of this it is important to commit up front to the stick/knob type you want to use


The base is built by Core Shifters using proven Hurst Billet Plus components inside a custom housing. It does not have stops and does not need them; all modern internal rail trans have internal stops. This kit has many superior features & components, integrated into a unique, exclusive assembly:
