Short dust boot for Core shifter bases w/ tall stubs
Short dust cover boot for the following Core Shifter bases:
- GM
- 2004-2012 Colorado & Canyon
- 2006-2010 Hummer H3

- 1985-2011 Ranger, Bronco II, Explorer - FM145 & M5R1 only
- 1988-2008 F150-F250 & Bronco
- Dodge

- 1992-1999 Dakota - AX15 only

- 1987-1999 Wrangler - AX5 & AX15 only

Your old boot should look identical. Since 2023 this short boot has been replaced by a smaller seal in most cases (except AX15, FM145, & M5OD). This change requires disassembly and different parts and so we do not sell this seal as a service part on the site. If you are interested in making this conversion email us
Covers shifter base housing, to keep dirt out of mechanism
- 3.5" dia x 1.8" tall overall, snaps onto a ~2.8" dia housing to seal a 5/8 - 3/4" dia stub shaft
- NOT intended for trim, console, or floor use
- (separate floor boot also required to isolate passenger compartment)
WARNING - do NOT stretch boot! Observe suggested installation in second image; boot will fail quickly if stretched downward over housing!
