Shifter base for M5OD-R2 from F-150

Shifter base for conversions using Mazda R2 (M5OD) 5 speed manual trans:
- Only fits transmissions sourced from these models:
- 1988-2008 Ford F-150
- 1988-1998 Ford F-250 (GVWR < 8500)
- 1999 Ford F-250 "non-Super Duty" (GVWR < 8500)
- 1988-1996 Ford Bronco
- Does NOT FIT Ranger M5R1 or any other model
- Stub depth varies by model & year - confirm yours!
- 1988-1994 Ranger: stock stub = 118mm overall, 70mm below gasket
- 1995-2011 Ranger: stock stub = 127mm overall, 78.5mm below gasket
- 1988-1998 F150: stock stub = 129mm overall, 80mm below gasket
- 1999-2008 F150: stock stub = 144mm overall, 91mm below gasket
- Hurst chrome stick required - NOT INCLUDED! Use #0295 for OE replacement; 18-19" stick length required for custom work
Hurst chrome stick is required (NOT included, sold separately). Other brands and homemade sticks are discouraged. Stick mount has 3/8"-24 threaded holes spaced 7/8" apart on center + mating serrations for a Hurst stick on one face.
Kit includes Core Shifters base, gasket, mounting hardware, dust cover boot, and installation instructions. Throw reduction depends on model and stick but ranges from 30-45%.
The base is built by Core Shifters using proven components inside a custom housing:
- High-strength billet steel gear selector stub w/ induction hardened tip
- Hardened steel cross-pin & glass-reinforced polyamide fulcrum pivot ring
- Self-centering cross-gate bias springs with heat treated spring seats
- CNC-machined billet aluminum housing with steel wear clips
- Laser-cut steel lid
