Short throw shifter kit for OE replacement on 5 speed manual trans in:

• 1994-1999 Dodge Dakota - V8 only
• 2000 Dodge Dakota - V6 & V8 only

ONLY FITS NV3500 manual trans specific to these models - sales code DDC

• Does NOT FIT 2.5L 4 cyl, older models, newer models (different stick & base), Ram, or any other model
• Base configured for transmission receptacle height of 1/4" as original to these models
• Replaces Mopar OE shifter #04886156AA (04886156AB; 04874147) and 04886196AA (04874146; 04886196AB)
• IF your transmission has been serviced, it MAY REQUIRE A DIFFERENT BASE. If you install the wrong one it will not work properly and could cause damage. To confirm height, remove shifter base and measure transmission as shown in last pic

Available in two knob heights:

• ~ stock (default)
• 18.2" from base flange to top of knob; 24% throw reduction
• 1.2" higher: + $20 - taller base stub for body lift (frame spacers)
• 19.4" from base flange to top of knob; 20% throw reduction
• Optionally can add an extension bracket to elevate stick to get 3" total height increase

Kit includes chrome stick #0292 & classic knob (plain, no Hurst markings, NOT Hurst parts), base assembly w/ lower pivot cup, mounting hardware, dust cover boot, and installation instructions. Compare to discontinued Hurst #3910155. The base is built by Core Shifters using proven components inside a custom housing:
