Short throw shifter kit for OE replacement on 5 speed manual trans in:

  • 1998-2003 Chevrolet S-10 / GMC Sonoma pickup truck - 4.3L V6 only
  • 1998-2005 Chevrolet Blazer / GMC Jimmy SUV - (4.3L V6 std)
  • 1998-2000 Isuzu Hombre pickup truck - 4.3L V6 only

ONLY FITS NV3500 manual trans specific to these V6 models - GM RPO M50

  • Does NOT FIT 2.2L 4 cyl, older models (different sticks), full-size (C/K or Silverado) trucks, or any other vehicle
  • Base configured for shifter stub receptacle height of 7/8" as original to these models
    • Replaces GM # 12382854 ; 26588
    • IF your transmission has been serviced, it MAY REQUIRE A DIFFERENT BASE. If you install the wrong one it will not work properly and could cause damage. To confirm height, remove shifter base and measure transmission as shown in last pic
  • Knob height ~ same as stock (stick #8009 on 3" fulcrum)
    • Also available w/ ~2" shorter knob height (stick #8550 on 2.5" fulcrum, $10 upgrade)
  • IF YOU HAVE A 2"+ BODY LIFT: a taller stub or extension bracket may be needed

Kit includes a Hurst chrome stick & classic knob, Core Shifters base w/ pre-installed OE lower pivot cup, mounting hardware, dust cover boot, floor boot adapter grommet, and installation instructions. This kit includes a boot grommet to adapt the stock console boot; no aftermarket boot necessary or recommended however a Hurst Super Boot is optional (sold separately). Bulk parts; no retail pkg. Throw is reduced by ~ 30%. Comparable to discontinued Hurst # 3910113

The base is built by Core Shifters using proven Hurst Billet Plus components inside a custom housing:

  • Forged heat-treated billet steel gear selector stub
  • Hardened steel cross-pin & stainless steel fulcrum pivot ring
  • Self-centering cross-gate bias springs with heat treated spring seats
  • Glass-reinforced polyamide fulcrum socket with steel wear clips
  • Rubber oil control seal with steel retaining ring
  • 6061-T6 extruded aluminum housing with Spirolox steel support ring
  • Zinc-plated laser-cut steel cover with heat-treated spring retainer straps
  • CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum base
  • Vibration-resistant serrated flange head steel retaining bolts
