Short throw shifter kit for OE replacement on 5 speed manual trans in:

• 2000-2002 Jeep Wrangler TJ - 4.0L 6 cyl only
• 2003-2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ - all engines

ONLY FITS NV2550 & NV3550 (DDD & DDK); kit is specific to TJ

• Does NOT FIT 2000-2002 w/ 4 cyl, other model years, or any other model
• WARNING: NOT for custom use! See swap base page
• Base configured for transmission receptacle height of 3/4"
• Replaces Mopar OE #05015954AA & 05086544AA
• IF your transmission has been serviced, it MAY REQUIRE A DIFFERENT BASE. If you install the wrong one it will not work properly and could cause damage. To confirm height, remove shifter base and measure transmission as shown in last pic

Available in two knob heights:

• ~ stock (default)
• Stick # 7436 on offset bracket, 19" from base flange to top of knob; 30% throw reduction
• 3" higher: + $20 - for body lift (frame spacers), transfer case drop, etc
• Stick # 0085 on offset bracket, 22" from base flange to top of knob; 20% throw reduction

Kit includes chrome stick & classic knob (plain, no Hurst markings, NOT Hurst parts), base assembly w/ lower pivot cup, mounting hardware, dust cover boot, and installation instructions. The base is built by Core Shifters using proven components inside a custom housing:

• High-strength billet steel gear selector stub
• Hardened steel cross-pin & stainless steel fulcrum pivot ring
• Self-centering cross-gate bias springs with heat treated spring seats
• Glass-reinforced polyamide fulcrum socket with steel wear clips
• Rubber oil control seal with steel retaining ring
