Short throw shifter kit for OE replacement on 5 speed manual trans in:

• mid 1989-1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ w/ 6 cyl engine
• Does NOT FIT 1989 models built before 3/1/1989 (BA10/5)

ONLY FITS AX15 gearbox; kit is specific to YJ

• Does NOT FIT 4 cyl, older models, newer models, Cherokee, or any other model
• 20" from base flange to top of knob; 29% throw reduction
• IF YOU HAVE a body lift (frame spacers) or transfer case drop: use an extension bracket to elevate stick

Kit includes chrome stick #0085, classic knob, base assembly, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. Compare to discontinued Hurst #3915040. Lower bushing cup NOT included; reuse existing or buy separately. The base is built by Core Shifters using parts from Hurst suppliers inside a custom housing:

• High-strength billet steel gear selector stub
• Hardened steel cross-pin & glass-reinforced polyamide fulcrum pivot ring
• Self-centering cross-gate bias springs with heat treated spring seats
• CNC-machined billet aluminum housing with steel wear clips
• Laser-cut steel lid & baseplate
• Rubber dust cover boot (low profile, NOT as pictured)
