Short throw shifter kit for OE replacement on 5 speed manual trans in:

• 1983-1995 Ford Mustang - all models
• 1996-2004 Ford Mustang - V6 only
• 1983-1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe
• 1983-1986 Mercury Capri
• 1983-1986 Mercury Cougar XR-7

Only fits T5 5 speed manual trans specific to these models

• Does NOT FIT 4 speed, V8 after 1995, other T5, or any other model

Kit includes chrome stick #8550, classic knob, base assembly, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. Lower bushing cup not included (reuse existing or buy separately). Compare to Ford Racing #M-7210-M but with a taller fulcrum for shorter throw. Overall height from base flange to top of knob is ~12". Throw is reduced by ~30%

• Use with stock leather console boot; remove grommet from leather boot to reveal stick
• Similar kit w/ Hurst console trim also available for 1983-1993 models

• Hardened steel cross-pin & stainless steel fulcrum pivot ring
• Self-centering cross-gate bias springs with heat treated spring seats
• Glass-reinforced polyamide fulcrum socket with steel wear clips
• Rubber oil control seal with steel retaining ring
• Extruded aluminum housing with Spirolox steel support ring
• Laser-cut steel lid & baseplate
